Myths about suicide
The film is anticipated to provoke discussion and be used within children’s and adult services future training modules across the U.K. It aims to dispel some of the myths about suicide, and act as a platform to open up the debate about this frequently stigmatised but very real subject – for suicide remains the highest cause of death amongst young men, and children’s services staff across the UK are telling us that children and young people are far more frequently than ever, before expressing a wish to kill themselves. Hear about some great local and national work, network and watch this new short film entitled Youth Suicide: A reality. Thinking together about some of the myths & facts about suicide.
